LEGAL ASPECTS. THE CREATIVE COMMONS LICENCE

The materials held and published by an Institution and forming part of an OCW site must be subject to a Creative Commons licence.

Intellectual Property

Materials under a Creative Commons licence are transferred to users for:

    - Use, re-use, translation and adaptation for other contexts.

Users agree to:

    - Not use material for commercial purposes.

    - Include an attribution to the institution which originally published the material, and where applicable, the author.

    - The material resulting from use of OCW material should be freely available for use by third parties and subject to these same requirements.



Other legal aspects regarding the relationship between the tutor and the University/OCW site:

    - The author concedes rights of use.

    - The intellectual property rights or conditions for use established by the owners must be accepted or respected.

    - The University/OCW site accepts its use in accordance with the principles of respect for the author and his/her work.
